Tribute to Hei (or Li) from Darker Than Black
Besides other male characters I love like Shizuo, Hei has got to be the only character I've felt so deeply for.
I've fallen so hard for him, I didn't know this show would be so romantic and heartbreaking when I first watched it and I'm so glad I came across this series. If you haven't seen it, you should go watch it NOW
The OVAs are so good
DTB needs moar love, not enough fanart of it here or anywhere else
I finished watching DTB earlier this year but I never got to draw fanart, I plan to draw a massive, detailed urban landscape pic with him in it as well but I guess that won't be done any time soon.
Ok, so here I was experimenting with the Corel Painter Essentials 3 bundled with my Wacom tablet ages ago and I decided to try its watercolours. It's fun but it's so hard to control the brushes, I literally stabbed my poor tabbie ;_;
I don't think I'll be able to colour like this with painter so often.
Sorry if Hei's eyes look too droopy, he actually kinda looks like that, he always looks sleepy or in a daze lol
Mao (the cat) was such a fuss, I kept recolouring him over and over again and I got fed up, so sorry for messing him up T_T
I should try real traditional water colour painting again one day...
Now I must flee and bury myself under the piles of homework waiting for me...

Awesome! I absolutely love this series, one of my all-time favourites. I just love how Hei has such a cold-hearted "contractor" exterior, but is actually unbelievably kind (and all this in a very natural, non-cheesy way). Plus, him and Yin are just meant to be together! I always wanted to draw fan art for this series but never got around to it, but seeing this, maybe I will. xD
